ENGLEWOOD — Small-business owners will share advice on such topics as avoiding credit fraud and protecting services and products next week.

The Greater Englewood Community Development Corp. is hosting the free workshop at its office, 815 W. 63rd St., 4th Floor, from 10 a.m. to noon. on Feb 25. 

The workshop's speakers will share ways to avoid common legal mistakes of small-business owners. Topics covered include:

• Choosing the right business structure: Sole props, LLCs, S-corps. Who to talk to.

• Protecting your services and products from someone trying to steal your idea

• Preparing to do business with other partners? Do you need an agreement? What should it say?

• Protecting your business against credit fraud
