Man Beaten, Robbed on UIC Campus Near St. Ignatius

LITTLE ITALY — A man was beaten and robbed on the University of Illinois at Chicago campus Monday night, police said.

At about 10:10 p.m., a man who is not affiliated with UIC was the victim of a robbery at 1220 S. Morgan St. near the UIC Sports Medicine and Human Performance Center, St. Ignatius Collage Prep campus and Village Leadership Academy school. 

The victim was beaten by four men dressed in black clothing who took his pants, according to UIC Police.

The suspects then ran southbound on Morgan Street. The victim was taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. 

The Chicago Police Department will conduct the follow-up investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 311.
