HYDE PARK — Composer Phillip Glass will host a screening of “Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters” on Wednesday.
Glass composed the soundtrack for the 1985 film based on the life of Japanese writer Yukio Mishima and his books, “The Temple of the Golden Pavilion,” “Kyoko's House” and “Runaway Horses.”
After the 7 p.m. screening at the Logan Center, 915 E. 60th St., Glass will discuss his music, performed for the film by Kronos quartet, with University of Chicago music professor Berthold Hoeckner and answer questions from the audience.
Tickets are free, but reservations are encouraged and can be made on the university’s website.
