Police Look For Man Who Might Have Witnessed Crimes Near Field Museum

CHICAGO — Police are looking for a man they say might have witnessed crimes committed near Soldier Field and the Field Museum.

The man might have seen five misdemeanor crimes in December near the city's Museum Campus, police said.

According to police and the city's data portal, the crimes were:

•An assault at about 3:10 p.m. Dec. 26 at a grocery store in the 400 block of East 25th Street.
•Criminal damage to a vehicle at about 2 p.m. Dec. 28 in a parking garage in the 2200 block of South King Drive.
•Pick-pocketing at about 6 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 1200 block of South Lake Shore Drive.
•Credit card fraud at about 6 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 1200 block of South Lake Shore Drive.
•Theft at about 4 p.m. Dec. 31 in a hotel in the 2200 block of South King Drive. 

The man is described as 20 to 30 years old, 6-foot-1 and 6-foot-4 and 170 pounds with long black hair, facial hair a possible scar or birthmark on the right side of his face.
