CHICAGO — The Art Institute of Chicago is putting up guests in a room it furnished to look like Vincent Van Gogh's in promotion of its upcoming exhibit on the legendary artist.
The Airbnb apartment — the location is undisclosed — can fit two guests and includes a bathroom.
"This room will make you feel like you're living in a painting. It's decorated in a Post-Impressionist style, reminiscent of Southern France and times gone by," the listing says. "Its furniture, bright colors, and artwork will give you the experience of a lifetime."
The promotion is running with the Art Institute's upcoming "Van Gogh's Bedrooms" exhibit, which focuses on the artist's onetime home in Southern France and opens Sunday.
A night's stay in the "Van Gogh's Bedroom" Airbnb costs $10, and dates to the public will become available in March.
