CHICAGO — A 34-year-old East Garfield Park man was stabbed to death Tuesday night in East Garfield Park, according to police.
The man — identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office as Matabias Biles — was found by police in the 3400 block of West Flournoy Street at 7:40 p.m. with stab wounds to his chest and face, said Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
Biles was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Tannehill said.
The situation is being considered a homicide stemming from a domestic disturbance, Tannehill said. Biles lived in the same block where he was killed, though police did not say if it happened inside a residence.
No arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing, Tannehill said.
