JEFFERSON PARK — Teens and young adults are invited to a dinner party at St. Robert Bellarmine to discuss Catholicism's approach to other faiths, church leaders said.

Hosted by the Jefferson Park church's youth ministry, the free event is scheduled to take place from 6:30 p.m. after the 5:30 p.m. Mass on Jan. 24 at the church, 4646 N. Austin Ave.

The event is designed to help young Catholics navigate a world where they encounter people of other faiths at school, work and at social gatherings, organizers said.

The keynote speaker will be the Rev. Mark Bosco, a Jesuit priest and a professor of theology and English studies at Loyola University. He is the director of the Joan and Bill Hank Center for the Catholic Intellectual Heritage.

The dinner party is the first in a series of events designed to encourage young Catholics to get involved at St. Robert Bellarmine, said Beth Farias, the church's youth minister.
