• At 2:45 a.m. Sunday, an 18-year-old man was shot in Back of the Yards, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman. The man was standing on the sidewalk in the 5400 block of South Justine Street when someone in a silver sedan fired at him.

The man was hit in his back, right wrist and left side, Estrada said, and was taken to Stroger Hospital in "stable" condition.

• At 12:20 a.m., a 27-year-old man was shot during an attempted robbery in Back of the Yards, Estrada said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 5400 block of South Aberdeen Street when a man walked up to him and said he was robbing the victim.

The victim pushed the man's gun away and the man shot, hitting the victim in his right thigh. The victim walked into St. Bernard Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Estrada said.

• At 5:55 p.m., a 57-year-old man shot a would-be robber in Chatham, Estrada said. The man was in the 8700 block of South State Street when a man, who looked like he was 20 years old, walked up and said he was robbing the man.

The 57-year-old man and the robber struggled, and the man shot the robber in his arm, Estrada said. A second man in a white car tried to run over the 57-year-old man, but then drove off. The man who was shot ran away.

• At 3:10 p.m., two 30-year-old men were shot in West Pullman, Estrada said. The men were standing on the front porch of a home in the 12100 block of South Normal Avenue when two people with guns walked up and began shooting at them.

One of the men was hit in his right ankle and his face was grazed by a bullet, Estrada said. The other man was shot in his upper right leg and lower back. The shooters ran away.

The men were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in "stable" condition, Estrada said. The man who was shot in his leg and back was treated and released.

The victim did not cooperate with officers, police said.

• At 12:58 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in Greater Grand Crossing, Estrada said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 7100 block of South Vincennes Avenue when two people walked up and shot at the man.
