PORTAGE PARK — Six homes in Portage Park have been burglarized during the day and early evening in recent weeks, police warned this week.
The incidents happened in the:
• 5500 block of West Byron Street between 10:30 a.m. Dec. 19 and 5 p.m.
• 5400 block of West Grace Street between midnight Dec. 19 and noon Dec. 23
• 5600 block of West Waveland Avenue at 5:25 p.m. Dec. 21
• 3300 block of North Linder Avenue at 5 p.m. Dec. 23
• 6100 block of West Melrose Street between 2 and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 1
• 5400 block of West School Street at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday
The burglars entered the homes and apartments through doors and windows and took electronics, jewelry and cash, police said.
