LINCOLN SQUARE — There's no time like the present to start making good on those New Year's resolutions to reduce stress, get organized or find a new job.

Sulzer Library, 4455 N. Lincoln Ave., is hosting a series of free workshops in January that will set you on the path to self-improvement.

• Career counseling, 6 p.m. Jan. 11: Need help refining your job search? Considering a career switch? Sign up for a one-on-one session with career counselor Roger Wright. Register by calling 312-744-7616, ext. 2, or at the adult reference desk.

• "Design the Life You Desire," 7 p.m. Jan. 13: Are you making the most of your living and working spaces? Learn how to design a more functional, orderly home.

• Make a good impression, 6 p.m. Jan. 14: Whether you're hunting for a new job or angling for a promotion, career coach Catherine Johns will offer advice on how to put your best foot forward.

• Positive thinking, 7 p.m. Jan. 20: You are what you think — that's the message of Nancy Frank-Thomas, a stress reduction specialist and hypnotist. She'll teach you how to channel healthy thoughts into positive behavior.
