CHICAGO — Sixteen people have been injured in shootings throughout the city since Saturday, police said.

The shootings stretched from Roseland on the far South Side to the Gold Coast on the North Side.

• Most recently, at 4:48 a.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in Humboldt Park, police said.

• At 4:20 a.m., a 35-year-old man was shot in Garfield Park, Estrada said, citing preliminary information. The man was in the 600 block of South St. Louis Avenue when he was shot in his right upper arm. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.

The man is a documented gang member, police said, and the shooting might be gang-related.

• At 3:15 a.m., a 26-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in North Lawndale, Estrada said. The man was walking in the 1400 block of South Christiana Avenue when he heard shots, felt pain and realized the top of his head had been grazed by a bullet.

The man walked into Stroger Hospital, Estrada said. He is expected to be treated and released.

The man is a documented gang member, police said, and the shooting might be gang-related.

• At 2:59 a.m., two men were injured during a shooting in Garfield Park, Estrada said. A 33-year-old man was sitting in a parked car in the 4400 block of West Madison Street when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man drove himself to West Suburban Hospital and was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where he was in serious condition with a gunshot wound in his shoulder and a graze wound on his head, Estrada said.

A 29-year-old man had been standing on the sidewalk during the shooting and was also wounded, Estrada said. He walked into Loretto Hospital and was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where he was in serious condition with gunshot wounds in his thigh and right wrist.

• At 2:57 a.m., a 44-year-old man was injured during a shooting in Brighton Park, Estrada said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 3800 block of South Albany Avenue when a light-colored SUV pulled alongside him and someone inside shot at the man.

The man ran away and realized he'd been hit in his leg, Estrada said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition with a gunshot wound in his thigh, Estrada said. Police did not say the extent of his injuries.

The man is a documented gang member, police said, and the shooting might be gang-related.

• At 2:45 a.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in Washington Park, Estrada said. The man was in a car in the 0-100 block of West Garfield Boulevard when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man took himself to St. Bernard Hospital, but he was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition with a wound in his buttocks, Estrada said. Police did not say the extent of his injuries.

The man is a documented gang member, police said, and the shooting might be gang-related.

• At 2:15 a.m., three people were critically wounded during a shooting outside a Gold Coast hotel.

• At 8:45 p.m. Saturday, a 25-year-old man was shot in Chatham, Estrada said. The man was standing in an alley in the 8200 block of South Dobson Avenue when a white van pulled alongside him and someone inside fired at the man.

The man was hit in the left side of his face and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was in "stable" condition, Estrada said. Police did not say the extent of his injuries. The shooter drove off.

The man is a documented gang member, police said, and the shooting might be gang-related.

• At 5:11 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot while driving in Roseland, Estrada said. The man was in a car in the 10100 block of South Michigan Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain. The man drove himself to Roseland Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition with a wound in his right shoulder, Estrada said. Police did not say the extent of his injuries.

The man is a documented gang member, police said, and the shooting might be gang-related.

• At 4:47 p.m., a 16-year-old walked into a hospital after being shot in Woodlawn, Estrada said. The teen told police he was in a car in the 6300 block of South Stony Island Avenue when another car pulled alongside him and someone inside shot at the victim.

The teenager was hit in his head and shoulder and was in critical condition at University of Chicago Hospital, Estrada said.

• At noon, a 30-year-old man was shot in Garfield Park, Estrada said. The man was seated in a parked car in the 500 block of South Kostner Avenue when two men walked up to him. The man got out of his car and spoke to the men, but one of them took out a gun and shot the victim in his left leg, Estrada said.

The men ran away and the victim drove himself to Stroger Hospital, where he was in good condition, Estrada said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said, and the shooting might be gang-related.

• At 8:50 a.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in Austin, Estrada said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 0-100 block of North Park Side when a silver car pulled alongside him and someone inside opened fire, hitting the man in his buttocks.

The man was taken to Loyola Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Estrada said. Police did not say the extent of his injuries.

The man is a documented gang member, police said, and the shooting might be gang-related.

• At 8:26 a.m., a 29-year-old man was wounded during a shooting in Austin, Estrada said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 5400 block of West Quincy Street when a man got out of a red SUV and fired in his direction, hitting the victim in his right leg.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in good condition, Estrada said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said, and the shooting might be gang-related.

No one is in custody in these shootings.
