UPTOWN — A 19-year-old woman was shot in her thigh while riding as a passenger on northbound Lake Shore Drive Friday afternoon, police said.
Around 3:05 p.m., someone shot into the woman's car from a red four-door Kia just north of Lawrence Avenue, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The driver of the woman's car brought her to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Sedevic said, where her condition stabilized. Police could not say what condition she was in.
No one is in custody, Sedevic said.
