HYDE PARK — University of Chicago students, faculty and staff are getting a chance to see “Dirty Grandpa” for free more than two weeks before it hits theaters.

Doc Films in Ida Noyes Hall, 1212 E. 59th St., will show a free early screening of the new movie starring Robert De Niro and Zac Efron at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

But there’s a couple of catches.

To get in, viewers need to have some association with the University of Chicago and be prepared to leave their phones and other electronic devices in the lobby.

The movie is about Jason Kelly, an uptight lawyer played by Efron who ends up at spring break parties after agreeing to drive his “dirty” grandfather, played by De Niro, who is trying to live his last years to their fullest, to Daytona Beach.

Tickets are free and first-come first-served.
