4 People Injured in Shootings Since Monday, Police Say

CHICAGO — Four people have been injured in shootings since Monday, police said.

• Most recently, at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, a 20-year-old was shot in Roseland, said Officer Nicole Trainor, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 9100 block of South Wentworth Avenue when a man fired at him, hitting the victim in his right shoulder.

The victim took himself to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Trainor said.

• At 8:55 p.m. Monday, a 27-year-old man was shot in Chicago Lawn, Trainor said. The man was walking on the street in the 6400 block of South Artesian Avenue when someone got out of a car and fired at him, hitting the man in his right leg.

The man took himself to Holy Cross Hospital, Trainor said. Information on his condition was not immediately available.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

• At 8:30 p.m., a 49-year-old man was shot in Grand Boulevard, Trainor said. The man was in the 4500 block of South Forrestville Avenue when he was shot in the chest and chin.

The man took himself to Provident Hospital and was transferred to Stroger Hospital, Trainor said. Information on his condition was not immediately available.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

• At 5:50 p.m., a 40-year-old man was shot in Washington Park, Trainor said. The man was standing on the street in the 300 block of East 58th Street when someone fired at him, hitting the man in his leg, Trainor said. The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.

No one is in custody for these shootings.
