MORGAN PARK — Police will set up checkpoints Saturday and Sunday in an effort to nab drunk drivers on the Far South Side, according to a Thursday announcement.

A team of breathalyzer-equipped "roving police officers" from the Morgan Park district will be on the lookout for reckless drivers between 7 p.m Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday, the announcement said.

Officers set up a similar checkpoint in Belmont-Cragin earlier this month, resulting in 114 citations for DUIs, seat belt violations, traffic violations and more, according to police.
