LINCOLN SQUARE — Don't forget to add daily permit parking passes to your holiday shopping list.

The 2015 passes expire Dec. 31, which means guests will ring in the New Year with a parking ticket if hosts haven't purchased passes valid in 2016.

The passes can be ordered online by repeat customers, but can take 10-14 days to arrive. The best bet for residents who need them ASAP is to purchase in person at City Clerk offices. Check with your alderman's office to see if they are selling the passes.

The cost is $8 for 15 24-hour passes. The maximum purchase is 30 passes within a 30-day period.

Be prepared to provide proof of residence — either a driver's license with your current address or a photo ID and utility bill or lease.
