ROSELAND — A 63-year-old man is dead and another person is in "serious to critical" condition following a house fire in Roseland Saturday morning, according to Fire Department officials.
Emergency responders were called to the house fire in the 100 block of East 103rd Place around 6:50 a.m. Saturday, according to the Fire Department's official Twitter account.
Firefighters haven't announced what they believe caused the fire, but fire officials tweeted that the building had "no gas service," "illegal electrical" and "no working smoke detectors."
It was unclear what type of injuries the two victims sustained, or whether either was taken to a hospital.
A Chicago Fire spokesperson was not available for comment Saturday morning.
