BUCKTOWN —  Joe's Jeans is closing, according to an "Everything Must Go" sign in the window of the struggling denim retailer's shop at 1715 N. Damen Ave.

Janika Brenner, a broker with Baum Realty, who is charged with finding a new tenant for the 1,850-square-foot store, said on Tuesday that Joe's Jeans lease will end on Feb. 15.

A worker onsite at Joe's Jeans said that they had just been informed of the closure and did not have any further details to share, except that everything in the store is on sale.

The Los Angeles-Calif. based premium denim chain started by Joe Dahan in 2001 was bought by  Sequential Brands and Global Brands for $67 million in September and plans to launch new products in collaboration with Dahan this spring, according to a news release.

Executives in Global Brands' New York City office did not return calls on Tuesday or Wednesday.
