CHICAGO — Three people have been injured in shootings that were separate but all possibly gang-related since Tuesday, police said.

• Most recently, at 1 a.m., a 17-year-old was shot in North Lawndale. The teen walked into Mt. Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound in his leg and said he'd been walking in the 1300 block of South Lawndale Avenue when someone walked up to him and opened fire, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The teen was treated and released from the hospital, Estrada said.

The incident might be gang-related, police said, and the victim is a documented gang member.

• At 11:25 p.m. Tuesday, a 24-year-old man was shot in Uptown. The man walked into Swedish Covenant with a wound in his foot, where a bullet had grazed him, and said he'd been walking in the 4700 block of North Sheridan Road when he heard shots and felt pain, Estrada said.

The man was treated and released from the hospital, Estrada said.

The incident might be gang-related, police said, and the victim is a documented gang member.

• At 7:10 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot and injured in Austin. The boy was a passenger in a car stopped in traffic in the 900 block of North Long Avenue when a white car pulled alongside and someone inside opened fire, Estrada said.

The boy was shot in his right hand and taken to West Suburban Hospital in good condition, Estrada said. The white car drove away.

The incident might be gang-related, police said, and the victim is a documented gang member.

No one is in custody for these shootings.
