BUCKTOWN —   Got a lover of all things vintage on your holiday shopping list?

A basement antique shop, Cat's Eye, permanently closed over 10 years ago: but the owner of the store, which specialized in mid-century art and collectibles, has decided to reopen for a weekend pop-up to show off some of his best finds.

Located in the basement of 2038 N. Damen Ave. in Bucktown, the Cat's Eye holiday sale is scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The pop-up will feature items collected by Cat's Eye owner James Conlon from the 1930s to the 1980s, according to Conlon's wife, Eva Field, who is organizing the event with Conlon's daughter.

Highlights include brass photo frames and jewelry from Mexico as well as furniture, figurines, posters, poker chips, barware, rare books and bookends.
