CHICAGO — A 41-year-old suburban man faces sexual assault charges after "inappropriate encounters with an underage victim," police said.
Jeremy Lind, of Oak Park, turned himself in to Chicago Police in the 1st District on Monday afternoon, police said. He was charged with three counts of criminal sexual assault, four counts of traveling to meet a child, four counts of indecent solicitation of a child and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault.
Lind will appear in bond court on Tuesday.
According to ABC7, Lind is an Oak Park River Forest High School English teacher, where his classes included one on "feelings." He also co-sponsored a spoken word poetry club. He has been on administrative leave since October, the station said.
No other information was available about the alleged crime.
