CHICAGO — Know any kids who want to grow up to be like Blackhawks stars Jonathan Toews or Duncan Keith?

Their chances are slim, but they can at least learn from the pros, as the Blackhawks have announced this year's run of free ice hockey clinics for kids.

Coaches and staff for the Stanley Cup-winning team will be on hand at six different Chicago parks and will offer nine free clinics, the Blackhawks announced this week.

Each clinic will have two sessions: one for kids aged 5 to 8, and one for kids aged 9 to 12. Skates and hockey equipment will be provided by the team at no cost to participants, the Blackhawks said in a press release. Each kid will also receive a free jersey.

The clinics are considered introductory courses to the game, the team said. Still, some skating experience is required, it said.

Here is when and where the clinics will be held:

McKinley Park, 2210 W. Pershing Rd.: from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 19

• RIIS Park, 6100 W. Fullerton Ave.: from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 9

• Wentworth Park, 5625 S. Mobile Ave.: from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Jan. 13 and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 16

• Warren Park, 6601 N. Western Ave.: from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Jan. 20 and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 23

• Midway Plaisance Park, 1130 Midway Plaisance North: from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 30

• Mt. Greenwood Park, 3721 W. 111th St.: from 4 to 6 p.m. on Feb. 3 and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 6

The Blackhawks have asked those interested in going to RSVP on it's website.
