CHICAGO — Chicago Police are investigating a suspicious package left at O'Hare International Airport's Terminal 3, the department confirmed Tuesday.

Authorities have not evacuated the terminal or any other part of the airport, but police did set up a perimeter while they investigate the package, said Officer Veejay Zala, Chicago Police spokesman.

Police were alerted around 2:40 p.m. of a package left in the terminal, Zala said. Officers determined the packages to be luggage that was left unattended, he said.

Police are still on the scene investigating as of Tuesday evening, Zala said.
