BRIDGEPORT — The much-needed makeover at Grandstand Sports is complete.
The shop at 600 W. 35th St. is now sporting a brand new black awning, cursive logo and window shutters.
Josh Golan — who runs Grandstand’s day-to-day operations behind the counter with his wife, Stephanie — said he's relieved the work is finally done.
"I just wish the construction on the street would halt and we could move on," Golan said of road work now happening outside the store.
Grandstand caught a lot of attention last summer, when you could see black tarps hanging in the windows and a large sign that read: “GRANDSTAND OPEN DURING CONSTRUCTION.”
The sign is now gone.
