IRVING PARK — An Irving Park man was abducted at gunpoint Tuesday morning and forced to ride around in his own car while offenders drove him to an ATM and withdrew cash, according to a police alert.

The Albany Park (17th) District is reporting that the victim had exited his car near his home in the 4100 block of North Elston Avenue at approximately 1 a.m. when two men approached from behind, pressed a gun into his back, forced him back into the car and drove away.

The victim's wife witnessed the abduction from the couple's home and called 911.

According to police, the offenders drove around with the victim for an hour before stopping at a Citibank ATM at Devon and California, where they used his debit card and released him. The victim wasn't injured.

Additional information shared via email with neighbors stated that both offenders wore hoodies — one white, one gray — covering their heads and had bandanas over their faces.
