CHICAGO — A man was killed after a domestic dispute turned physical in Austin early Wednesday, according to police.

Detectives have launched a homicide investigation after finding the 42-year-old man unresponsive inside an apartment in the 800 block of North Central Avenue at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

Authorities pronounced the man dead on the scene, Pacheco said.

He has been identified as Terrell Peterson, of the 800 block of North Central Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Peterson had gotten into a fight with another man, Pacheco said, in what police are describing as a domestic dispute.

No arrests have been made, as the investigation is ongoing, Pacheco said.
