CHICAGO — A 10-year-old boy was injured in a Greater Grand Crossing shooting Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The boy was in the 7600 block of South Parnell Avenue around 2:35 p.m. Sunday, where a group of men was standing near the street, said Officer Ana Pacheco, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

A man on a bicycle shot in the direction of the group of men and hit the boy, who was not standing with the group of men, Pacheco said. The boy was struck in his right hip and was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in good condition, Pacheco said.

No arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing, Pacheco said.
