De La Salle Wants Entries For 'Chicago's Next Top Artist' Contest

BRONZEVILLE — Attention grammar school doodlers, painters and sculptors: De La Salle Institute is seeking entries for its Chicago’s Next Top Artist Contest.

The deadline is Nov. 13 for students in grades 6-8. Art in every medium will be accepted, but the piece can't be larger than 4 feet by 4 feet.

Local Chicago artists will judge the pieces and there will be an exhibition and awards ceremony on Dec. 1.

To enter the contest, artists must drop off their pieces to either De La Salle’s Institute Campus for Young Men, 3434 S. Michigan Ave., or the Lourdes Hall Campus for Young Women, 1040 W. 32nd Place, between 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. during any school day before the deadline.
