WICKER PARK — We live in a big city with so many ways to delve into the arts and culture scene, or to just do some good in the 'hood at a local clean-up.

Here are our picks for stuff to do this weekend in the Wicker Park, Bucktown and West Town areas.

Friday

Imbibe in Cocktails, Conversation with Architects. Six Chicago architects — including East Village's Scott Rappe —  have met on a regular basis to discuss architecture, practice and life for the past 20 years. On Friday, as part of the Chicago Architecture Biennial festivities, they're opening their conversation to the public in a "fireside chat" evening with sneak peeks of new works and cocktails. Joining Rappe are Thomas Brock, Peter Exley, Anthony Hurtig, John Kelly and Constantine Vasilios.  Free, 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Leightner Building, 1006 S Michigan Ave. Suite 702.

Support Local Filmmaking Talent. The Good Night Ladies, an interdisciplinary arts collective committed to making and facilitating work with a feminine focus, presents its 4th Annual CUT! Film Festival featuring local independent film makers. Screenings begin at 8 p.m. Friday; buy tickets, $10 online; $12 at the door, here.   The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Saturday

Sit On a New Bench. "Bucktown Green," a community green space behind the Bucktown Wicker Park library branch will welcome "Bountiful Bench," a bronze bench featuring "a woman of nature" cloaked in a blanket of Midwestern bounty, according to the Bucktown Community Organization, which is sponsoring local sculptor Christina Murphy's newest work. Unveiling ceremony at noon Saturday, 1716 N. Hoyne Ave.

Buy a Non Digital Camera on the Cheap:  Lomography Embassy Store is having a massive sale, with film, cameras and accessories priced between 30-70% off, according to an e-newsletter.   The weekend will conclude with a 7 p.m. Sunday light painting workshop too.  Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, 1422 N. Milwaukee Ave.
