UPTOWN — Construction to rehab the Wilson "L" station is causing detours along Broadway this week with some detours extending the full month, the CTA said.

Until Wednesday, the 4600 block of North Broadway will be closed to northbound vehicular traffic, while southbound remains open, according to Uptown Update.

Construction will also detour the No. 36 bus around the area through Nov. 6, according to the CTA.

Beginning Friday, the CTA will begin replacing track ties along the Purple Line Express train from Lawrence Avenue to Morse Avenue. The work may include noise from heavy truck traffic, engine noise from diesel track maintenance and beeping from backup alarms on track maintenance equipment. The work will be done overnight from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. until Nov. 9, according to the CTA.
