NORTH CENTER — The FBI is offering a reward to anyone who comes forward with information leading to the arrest of a serial North Side bank robber, the agency announced Tuesday.

Dubbing the man "The North Center Bandit," FBI officials say he "made a threatening demand for money" at three different banks in the past two months:

• PNC Bank, 4201 N. Lincoln Ave., Aug. 21 at 2:24 p.m.

• Chase Bank, 3335 N. Ashland Ave., on Aug. 27 at 4:02 p.m.

• Chase Bank, 3339 W. Belmont Ave., on Sept. 25 at 4:06 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, a little over 6 feet tall, weighing between 180 and 210 pounds. He is "considered armed and dangerous," according to the FBI.

Anyone with information on "The North Center Bandit" is encouraged to call the FBI Chicago Field Office at 312-421-6700.
