Checkmate: Dunning Kids Chess Club Makes A Move

DUNNING — Budding grandmasters can polish their chess skills at the Dunning branch of the Chicago Public Library starting Oct. 7.

The five-week session at the Dunning branch of the Chicago Public Library, 7455 W. Cornelia Ave., is for designed for children of all ages, but participants should have some chess knowledge, organizers said.

Participants will play games while a high school chess expert coaches them and teaches them tricks, organizers said.

The sessions will take place from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays from Oct. 7 through Nov. 4.
