CHICAGO — A 25-year-old man was killed in a North Lawndale shooting on Sunday, police said.
At 2 p.m., the Quinton D. Goins was in a car with other people in the 3900 block of West Roosevelt Road when they exchanged gunfire with people in another car, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman, citing preliminary information.
Goins, of the 3000 block of West Flournoy Street in East Garfield Park, was shot in his back and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Sedevic said.
The man is a documented gang member, police said.
No one is in in custody for the shooting.
