NORWOOD PARK — Oriole Park Elementary School will hold a spaghetti dinner Oct. 2 to raise money for its educational foundation.

The cost for the dinner catered by Rex Italian Foods is $8 for adults and children older than 2. It will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the school's gym, 5424 N. Oketo Ave.

The proceeds from the event will be used to support programs at the Norwood Park school, which is no longer overcrowded after a new annex opened earlier this month, organizers said.

During the dinner, a celebration of the school's teaching garden will take place. Fresh and dried herbs, cabbage and potatoes will be available to take home, organizers said.

The dinner is designed to allow attendees to get to know their children's classmates and meet other families whose children attend the school, organizers said.
