ANDERSONVILLE — Deadly identical twins, ravenous monsters and a possessed office temp are all on the horror menu in a new trio of tales premiering at Mary's Attic in Andersonville.

"Scream, Queen, Scream!", which was written by David Cerda and inspired by classic horror films "Tales from the Crypt," "Creepshow" and "Night Gallery," premiered Thursday night at the theater at 5400 N. Clark St. The trio of twisted stories produced by Hell in a Handbag Productions include: "Taco Tuesday," "The Box" and "Shut Up and Die, Maggie," according to a news release.

"Taco Tuesday" is the story of an office temp, played by Rachel Hadlock, who isn't quite as pleasant as she seems, and the office queen bee, who tries to save her coworkers. "The Box" is billed as "an even campier tribute to the already campy The Crate" from the '80s horror classic "Creepshow." In the production, Cerda plays Betty Carr, a woman pushing her long-suffering husband Professor Carr, played by Chad Ingold, to the edge until he suddenly finds a box with deadly contents giving him an idea of his own, according to the release.

"In Shut Up and Die, Maggie," Ed Jones plays identical twin sisters in a tribute to '60s horror films "Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte" and "Strait-Jacket." Maggie and Annie Honeycutt are identical twins with very different ideals; Maggie is the belle of the ball and Annie is the level-headed studious sister. When Maggie's suitor, played by Chazie Bly, is murdered, she takes the rap and is placed in an asylum. When she returns home certain forces have other plans for her, according to the release.

The full cast includes: Chazie Bly, Kristopher Bottrall, John Cardone, David Cerda, Caitlin Coleman, Laura Coleman, Rachel Hadlock, Chad Ingold, Ed Jones, Shiv Mann, Terry McCarthy, Christea Parent and Jamie Smith.

The shows will be Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 6:30 p.m. The shows are in preview this weekend and begin their regular run next week. There will be additional performances at 7 p.m. on Oct. 14 and 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 31. There will not be performances on Oct. 4 and Oct. 18.
