Seniors Can Learn About Getting Help With Utility Bills Over Ice Cream

ENGLEWOOD — State Rep. Andre Thapedi (D-Chicago) will host an ice cream social for seniors on Sept. 28.

The Senior Utility Seminar will take place on the fourth floor of the US Bank building at 63rd and Halsted streets. Representatives from ComEd, People's Gas and CEDA will be present to discuss home energy assistance programs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. RSVP by emailing rep32district@gmail.com.

Attendees should bring:

• Proof of current 30-day gross income

• Copy of most recent heat and electric bills

• Proof of Social Security numbers of all household members

• Medical eligibility card

Applicants who have their utilities included in the rent must bring proof of rental agreement stating monthly rental amount, that utilities are included, and landlord contact information.
