EDGEBROOK — A special Mass and ceremony at St. Mary of the Woods School will mark the 14th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, officials said.

For the second year in a row, the Edgebrook Catholic school will remember the first responders and civilians who were killed in the terrorist attacks, while honoring law enforcement officers and members of the military during a special mass and ceremony set to start at 9 a.m. Sept. 11 at the church, 7033 N. Moselle Ave.

All active and retired firefighters, police officers, paramedics, doctors, nurses and military personnel and flight attendants, as well as their families, are invited to participate in the event. All are encouraged to wear their uniforms or insignia, organizers said.

First responders at the Mass will receive a special blessing and a small religious medallion commemorating their professions' patron saints.

For more information, please contact the Rev. Ray Klees, the church's associate pastor, at 773-763-0206.
