BUCKTOWN —  Though there are plenty of places to get a shiny and sleek blow out near the Damen, Milwaukee and North avenues intersection, the options decrease as folks head north. A just-relocated salon hopes to change that as the beauty trend continues.

Griffith Parc Blow Dry Boutique & Salon opened on Wednesday at 1922 N. Damen Ave. in Bucktown.  The salon advertises a $25 blow out on a banner next to its building and on its website.

Previously in Lincoln Park for three years, the salon has moved to a new home in a small three-story cottage that is set back from the sidewalk and feels different in atmosphere than most other retail storefronts.

Previously the space was home to an eyelash boutique and before that, Crosell & Co., a home goods store that relocated to Michigan Avenue.

Griffith Parc's owner and master stylist Samuel Griffith has a team of 14 other stylists working with him.

The salon is known for its sleek and sexy blowouts and treating "thick, curly, frizzy or otherwise out-of-control hair," according to its website.

Along with blowouts, the salon offers color, cutting, extensions and Keratin treatments.
