BRIDGEPORT — You’ll soon have a chance to sip from more than 60 beers at the Homebrewer’s Pride of the South Side Oktoberfest.
From 2-6 p.m. Sept. 19, the beer garden and hall of Bridgeport VFW Post 5079, 3202 S. May St., will be home to the annual H.O.P.S. event.
Admission comes with a free tasting glass and meal including several types of sausage, a roast pig, side dishes and desserts.
Last year’s event featured 71 beers, and 32 of those came from local and regional craft breweries such as Haymarket, Three Floyds, Motor Row and Founders.
