UPTOWN — The Black Ensemble Theater will hold its seventh annual summer series with four productions focused on sex.

All of the plays in the Sex in the City in the Summer Series are written by members of the Black Playwright's Initiative. The series will take place Aug. 25 and Aug 26 at the theater at 4450 N. Clark St., the group said.

On Aug. 25, they'll perform Christopher McMorris' "The Balance of Recklessness." On Aug. 26, they'll feature three productions: Lillian Mitchum's "Thirsty," Loy Webb's "Chasing Dogs" and Evan Gardner's "Does Size Matter."

The reception begins at 7 p.m. and shows start at 7:30 p.m. both nights. Tickets are $15.
