CHICAGO — Police uncovered 51 baggies of suspected crack cocaine and six suspected ecstasy pills during a drug bust in Wicker Park on Wednesday, they say.

Police responded to a call of someone selling drugs at 12:45 a.m. in the 1900 block of West North Avenue, just east of the neighborhood's main strip of bars and restaurants.

They saw a 17-year-old boy who was the passenger in a car with a gun, according to a District 14 news release. The driver of the car, Phillip Floro, attempted to drive away after the officers told them to turn off the car, according to police.

The officers were able to get the car to park, but one of the men exited the car and did not follow officers' commands to put his hands up, according to police. The officers used a Taser on the man and arrested him, according to police.

The officers found 51 knotted baggies of what they suspect to be crack cocaine and six suspected ecstasy pills, as well as a .40 caliber Glock handgun and eight rounds of ammunition, according to police.

Floro was charged with possession of a controlled substance and resisting/obstructing a peace officer. The 17-year-old was charged with unlawful possession of a gun by a street gang member in a car, possession of cocaine, not having an eligible firearm/FOID card and resisting/obstructing a peace officer, according to police.
