LINCOLN PARK — Instead of hitting the bars Friday night, head to DePaul University's Wish Fields for a free game of "bubble soccer."

Popular in Europe, "bubble soccer" is a cross between soccer, human bowling and dodge ball. It involves kicking the soccer in the net while wearing huge inflatable plastic bubbles around your upper body, allowing players to smash into each other without getting hurt.

Friday night's game will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and go until 8 p.m. at Wish Fields, 900 W. Belden Ave.

It was made possible through a partnership between Battle Balls and Players Sport and Social Group.
