Police Search for Man Who They Say Grabbed, Touched Women in Lincoln Square

CHICAGO — Police are looking for a man they say grabbed and inappropriately touched two women in Lincoln Square earlier this week, according to a community alert sent by Chicago Police.

At 11:20 p.m. July 26, a woman was walking at North Damen Avenue and West Sunnyside Avenue when a man walked up behind her, reached under her skirt and touched her, police said. The man ran away down an alley when the woman screamed, police said.

At 2 a.m. July 27, a woman was walking at North Damen Avenue and West Lawrence Avenue when a man walked up to her from behind, grabbed her around the waist and hugged her, police said. The man used one of his hands to touch the victim inappropriately while he tried to move his other hand under the woman's dress, police said. The man ran away after the victim broke free, police said.

The offender is a 19- to 30-year-old Hispanic man who is 5'7-5'8 tall, 155-160 pounds with a slim build and short, dark hair, police said. He wore a black hoodie with a white T-shirt and dark jeans during one attack and a white T-shirt with dark shorts during the other attack, police said.
