16-Year-Old Killed in Little Village Drive-By

CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed in Little Village drive-by shooting Sunday night.

Around 7:45 p.m., the teen was standing in the 2800 block of South Keeler Avenue when someone opened fire from a passing car, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

He was shot in his upper body and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, Estrada said.

The victim was identified as David Moreno, 16, of the 2700 block of South Lawndale Avenue. He was pronounced dead at 8:28 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
