NORWOOD PARK — Fifteen private gardens in Norwood Park will be open to the public Saturday.

The Norwood Park Garden Walk will benefit the Norwood Park Senior Center, organizers said.

The gardens — in the historic section of the neighborhood — include a railroad-themed garden, a Blue Star Highway Garden and a koi pond.

Tickets for the event scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Saturday are $20 per person in advance or $25 on the day of the event.

The garden tour is part of the celebration of the 141st anniversary of Norwood Park's incorporation as a village in 1874.

Other events will also take place Saturday at the Noble-Seymour-Crippen House, 5624 N. Newark Ave., which is the home of the Norwood Park Historical Society and the oldest home in Chicago.

Tickets can be purchased at the Norwood Park Senior Center, 5801 N. Natoma Ave. For more information, call 773-775-6071 or email info@npseniorcenter.org.
