AUBURN GRESHAM — St. Sabina Church is holding a night peace walk as a way to "occupy" the streets and prevent gun violence on Friday.

Participants are asked to meet at the church, 1210 West 78th Place, at 7 p.m. They will walk the neighborhood until 9 p.m.

Taking to Facebook, the Rev. Michael Pfleger called on every block and every church to be outdoors on Friday. He said they don't have to march, but that their presence alone could be enough to stop shootings.

"If every block and every Church decided Friday to be out on your block ... you don't have to March ... don't have to have food ... just be outside on your Block, talking to your neighbors, occupying your street ... I believe Friday we could have [zero] Shootings," Pfleger wrote.
