NORTH CENTER — BenFest is back — bigger, better and wetter.
St. Benedict's annual three-day fest, which kicks off Friday and runs through Sunday, has added a giant inflatable water slide plus a dunk tank to its lineup of fun-filled activities.
Among the weekend's kid-friendly highlights: a stilt walker, bubble show, inflatable obstacle course and Saturday's Rock the Fest, a battle of the best kids bands in Chicago. The complete entertainment schedule is available online.
The fest also features food, drinks and a three-on-three basketball tourney.
Admission is a suggested $5 donation, kids under five are free. Access to kids activities costs $10 for a daily wristband or $25 for the whole weekend.
Hours are: 4-10 p.m. Friday, 1-10 p.m. Saturday and 1-7 p.m. Sunday. The main entrance to the fest is at 2215 W. Irving Park Rd.
