CHICAGO — Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Matt Conrath returned to his alma mater Wednesday to help out some old mentors and see the future athletes of his Southwest Side high school.
Conrath graduated from St. Rita High School, 7740 S. Western Ave., back in 2007. He returned on the third day of the school's grade school football summer camp, and after some drills stayed to answer campers' questions and sign autographs, the school said.
Conrath went to the University of Virginia before playing several seasons for the St. Louis Rams. He signed with the Steelers earlier this year.
