WEST LOOP — "Top Chef" alum Fabio Viviani's new West Loop hot spot is now taking reservations ahead of opening.

Viviani and his partners plan to open Bar Siena, DineAmic Group's seventh restaurant, at Randolph and Green streets on July 25.

After opening Prime & Provisions in the Loop and working off the success of Siena Tavern in River North, DineAmic Group will open the two-story, 8,000-square-foot spin-off later this month.

Lucas Stoioff, DineAmic Group partner, said Bar Siena would more closely mimic the group's Italian inspiration.

"When we first created Siena Tavern, much of our inspiration came from a quaint, casual and energetic bar and restaurant called La Taverna in Siena, Italy. That inspiration led us to create a more polished and expansive version better suited for River North,” Stoioff said. "Bar Siena will be closer to our original inspiration in size, style and energy."

At Bar Siena, Viviani and Executive Chef Jeremy Tannehill, formerly of Public House, will take a creative approach to from-scratch Italian fare. The menu, featuring Italian street food, pizza and small plates, will be slightly smaller than Siena Tavern's and rotate more frequently, paying homage to regions of Italy.

Other menu items will include: seared wild king salmon, sweet corn ravioli, calzones, Italian sandwiches and stracchino cheese fritters — Viviani's Italian take on the cheese curd.

Bar Siena's cocktail menu, designed by Femme Du Coupe founder Revae Schneider, will include seasonal concoctions and more than 20 beers, featuring local and Italian brews.

The two-story space will feature a bar area on the ground floor, anchored by a peninsula-shaped bar clad in ashed wood with stone inlays and a custom hammered zinc bar top. A dining room is on the second floor, with a 25-foot-by-25-foot opening in the center, uniting the two levels.

From the bar, guests can peer into the open kitchen to catch the red mosaic tile pizza oven, imported from Italy, in action.

Linking the two stories is an illuminated iron sculpture inspired by Siena Tavern's olive tree icon, peppered in hundreds of LED lights.

Bar Siena will also include a side pasticceria and gelateria concept on Green Street called BomboBar.

Without having to set foot into the Bar Siena restaurant, guests will be able to walk up to a service window and order from a menu featuring specialty Italian hole-less donuts known as Bomboloni.

Flavors include chocolate fudge butter cream, mixed berry and salted caramel, and a variety of classic and seasonal gelato, house-made Italian ice and Lavazza coffee, cappuccino and espresso.

Located at 832 W. Randolph St., Bar Siena will be open 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Friday, Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. and 10 a.m. to 2 a.m Sunday.
