CHICAGO —  It is PERFECT OUTSIDE, you guys. Get out there.

1. Namaste: Perfect your Half Moon Pose outside at a free yoga class hosted by the Chicago Park District. The session runs from 7:15-8 p.m. Wednesday at Norwood Park Circle Park, 7177 W. Peterson Ave.

2. Play with Police in the Park at Swift Elementary: As part of Ald. Harry Osterman’s (48th) CAPS Night Out program in Edgewater, officers from the Chicago Police Department will come out to shoot hoops, play bags, soccer and more with neighborhood families. Swift Elementary School playground, on the corner of Thorndale and Winthrop avenues, every Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. until August 26, Free.

3. Go Up a Creek With a Paddle: Rent a canoe or kayak and go for a paddle along the Chicago River. Boats are available 1-6 p.m., Wednesday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $15/hour for a single kayak or $20/hour for a canoe or tandem kayak. Chicago River Canoe & Kayak, 3400 N. Rockwell St., Clark Park Boathouse.

4. Listen to ‘Jazz in the Grazz’: Chicago native and jazz saxophonist/singer Carlos Cannon will perform at Chicago State University Wednesday. People can bring their own food or buy some from nearby food trucks. The event will move to the Jones Convocation Center if the weather interrupts the performance. Lawn seating begins at 5 p.m. and the show runs from 6- 8 p.m. at Chicago State, 9501 S. King Dr. Admission is $5 and parking is $5.

5. North Center’s Alive With the Sounds of Twangy Cover Tunes: North Center’s Wednesday night concert series gets twangy with the sounds of Gussified, a cover band with a bluegrass twist. 7 p.m., Town Square, 4100 N. Damen Ave. Free.
